Unlike OEMs or other third party providers, USMEDIC offers standalone administration and reporting programs for organizations wishing to self-insure their equipment or insure their equipment through the organization’s captive. The organization will enjoy all the benefits of the industry-leading support provided by USMEDIC, including claims administration and reporting – while utilizing their own funds or captives to pay claims. USMEDIC works diligently with our partners and their service vendors, carefully scrutinizing all documentation submitted by each service provider, investigating any inconsistencies, promptly resolving any billing errors and identifying and disputing any instances of inaccurate or excessive pricing by the service provider.

 Additionally, USMEDIC’s underwriting team will assist organizations that have opted to self-insure their program’s to set appropriate loss reserves to ensure that equipment repairs and maintenance costs stay within the budgeted amount. Our years of equipment loss history data and program expertise provides us unique insight to help forecast equipment maintenance and repair costs for healthcare organizations and laboratories of all sizes.

​USMEDIC also offers a fully managed equipment maintenance option for organizations that wish to fully outsource day-to-day equipment maintenance duties to our highly trained techs who will either replace or supplement the current biomedical services including preventive maintenance tracking and oversight as well as full management of unexpected corrective maintenance issues.
